'Indigenous Goria people deprived by BJP'

GUWAHATI, March 10: The Sadou Asom Goria Yuva-Chatra Parishad (SAGYCP) has burnt the effigy of BJP leader Sarbanda Sonowal today in front of the Guwahati Press Club protesting against his anti-people step in nomiting the BJP candidates in the LACs. SAGYCP Moinul Haque said the press, “We have requested all the political parties of the state to field indigenous Goria candidates in at least 10 constituencies of the state for assembly election. We have submitted memorandum in this regard to various central and state BJP leaders like jma Heptulla and others. However, like Congress party, the BJP party has also cheated us and has not nomited any one of indigenous Goria candidate in any constituencies of the state for assembly election. We, therefore, burnt the effigy of BJP leader Sarbanda Sonowal protesting his party’s act towards us and we will give proper answer of this cheating in coming election.”
