GUWAHATI, May 12: Intelligence Bureau (IB) has predicted that the stage set for the formation of the by the BJP-led alliance at Dispur. According to sources, the IB conducted a survey on the poll prospects of the Assam Assembly election held in two phases – April 4 and 11 – and sent the report to the Union Home Ministry. According to the sources, the change of the government in Assam is certain. The probable number of seats to be won by various political formations, according to the sources, is 72 by the BJP-led alliance including 47 by the BJP, 17 by the AGP and eight by the BPF. The ruling Congress in the State, according to the survey, will end up with 35 seats against 78 seats in 2011. The survey also said that the AIUDF, who had won as many as 18 seats in 2011, will fall to 12. Seven seats will go to others. The survey further said that the BJP would be gainer in both the phases of the polls. The results will be announced on May 19.
