Inter-railway drama contest ends

GUWAHATI, May 12: The Inter Railway Cultural (Drama) competition which was iugurated at Rang Bhawan ,Maligao on May 10, 2017 concluded today, a press release said.

At the concluding function, NF Railway GM Chahatey gave away the prizes to the winners. The three-day-long competition was participated by almost all zol Railways and production unit under Indian Railways. During these three days, all participating teams performed their drama and displayed their skill in various categories of completion .Dramas were performed in various languages like Assamese, Malayalam, Kanda Bhojpuri and Bengali.

 The competition was judged by Abish Sharma , yan Prashad and Shrimati Robijita Gogoi , all eminent drama artistes.

Central Railway’s drama ‘TAMASHA OF HUMANITY’ has been judged as Best Drama in the competition. Northern Railway, Baroda House, New Delhi’s drama ‘GABARCHICHOR’ has been judged as second best drama. Northeast Frontier Railway’s (Maligaon) drama ‘DEOGHARAR SWAP’ has been judged as third best drama. Best actor award went to Mihir Kumar Mishra of East Cost Railway (Bhubaneswar). Best actress went to Shrimati Meera Sikdar of North Eastern Railway (Gorakhpur). Northeast Frontier Railway Mantu Kumar Das won the best director award. Dr. Fandniviskr of Western Railway, Churchgate, (Mumbai) won the best script writer award. Best comedian award went to Atul Shrivastava of Western Railway, Churchgate, (Mumbai). Best Juri award for acting went to Diganta Kakati and Anindita Das of Northeast Frontier Railway. Utpal ndi of Northeast Frontier Railway won the best light designer award. Filly, five awards of various categories went to Northeast Frontier Railway, the release added.
