IOC officials bag 'Young Magers Award'

Guwahati, March 30: Guwahati Refinerians have brought laurels to Indian Oil and Guwahati Refinery after they maged to bag prizes at the Young Magers’ Award organized by Guwahati Magement Association at Guwahati recently. As per a release, Smita th, Mager (ER), was awarded the 2nd best Young Mager award while Atreya Barua, Mager (P&U), received the 3rd best Young Mager award in the competition. Bardan Lama, Production Mager, was given the Special Jury Award.

The award distribution ceremony of the competition was held on March 28 at the Assam State Museum in Guwahati.

To promote the spirit of constructive competition and excellence, the “Young Magers Competition” is conducted with an aim to recognize outstanding achievements / contributions made by Young Magers, below 40 years of age.

The event draws participation from across the industry as well as from the world of academia. Forty young dymic magers from 11 organizations participated in the competition this year. The selection was made by a committee consisting of a Jury of eminent persolities from different professions after a series of presentations, group discussion and persol interview.

The participants were judged in their magerial abilities, competence, achievements, attitude, aptitude, cost consciousness, awareness towards ecology and society, extra-curricular activities and the like.

Guwahati Magement Association (GMA) is the pioneer non-profit professiol magement association in the entire north-east region of the country and is affiliated to the All India Magement Association (AIMA), New Delhi, the release added.
