ITBP Raising Day celebrated

GUWAHATI, Oct 25: The 55th Force Raising Day was celebrated with gaiety and fervour by 33rd Bn, ITBP on October 24 2016. A parade was organized at Jalukbari camp of 33rd Bn. T Sanjeet, second-in-command, 33rd Bn congratulated all Himveers and their families on the occasion of Force Raising Day, a press release said.

Later in the evening, a colourful cultural programme was organized at Games Village. Dr. Harendra th Sarma, former professor, Gauhati University was the chief guest. Lots of distinguished guests from Guwahati had shown their presence in the event.

The programme was started with “Tambola” and winners were given the prizes therein. Melodious songs by BSF Jazz band added feather in the cap and enthralled the audience. Information about ITBP and its role was given to the audience by Sh Fayaz Khan, Deputy Commandant, 33rd Bn followed by a documentary.
