Meanwhile, in a statement issued to the press on Monday, the BJP Assam Pradesh has made it clear that Jagadamba Mall made the party known in no uncertain term that he had never made any statement on inclusion of Dima Hasao of Assam with galim. The RSS, on the other hand, also made it known that Jagadamba Mall of Tripura has nothing to do with the RSS nor is the statement stated to have been circulated by him. The statement made by him is his own and he is not a spokesperson of the Sangh, said RSS’ Asom Kshetra Sanghchalak Asim Dutta. Soon after the ‘draft plan’ being published by the media, there have been sharp reactions in Assam from various quarters, including the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee. The APCC did seek a statement from the BJP on the issue and asked the State Government to make the framework agreement on greater galim public.
