Jamaat Ulama E Hind appeals minority to vote for BJP

GUWAHATI, March 31: Appealing the minority voters to vote against the Congress, the Jamaat Ulama E Hind openly made an appeal to vote for the BJP on Thursday. Stating that the Congress devastated the lives of the people of the country, State Jamaat Ulama E Hind president Mufti Ebadur Rahman Qasmi said, “The Congress is responsible for the plight of the minorities as it was the Congress who had been in power for a considerable period of time since independenc.” It may be mentioned that Jamaat Ulama E Hind is affiliated to the Rashrtiya Swayam Sevak (RSS), and has been actively working for the BJP in minority belts. Keeping in view the Assam Assembly elections, Jamaat Ulama E Hind’s tiol president Moula Suhaib Qasmi has been camping in the State and the organization is now investing more time in the minority pockets of Upper Assam and Barak Valley which is going to poll on April 4 and April 11 respectively.
