Jamiat extends cash to kin of boat mishap victims

GUWAHATI, Oct 1: The Assam State Jamiat Ulama has extended Rs 10,000 to each of the families of those who lost their lives in a tragic boat mishap on September 17, 2017 at Chatchiya under Khalichhabhita GP in Goalpara district. Two AIUDF MLAs – Hafis Basir Ahmed Quasimi and Sahabuddin Ahmed – members of the State Jamiat met the next of kin of the deceased and handed over the cash, the State Jamiat said this in a statement issued to the press on Sunday.
