Jogdol case: Cops get bail

GUWAHATI, Dec 21: The District and Session Judge Court, Kamrup, granted bail to two arrested Police officials Prab Deka and Abdul Matlib Chowdhury in the eight-year old Jogdol murder case under Sopur Police Station. Prab Deka was then OC of Sopur Police Station while Chowdhury was the Investigation Officer (IO). Both were held with reference to case number 18/2012 under Section 120/436/201 IPC. The case involved the murder by beheading of an entire family including Harakanta Doley, his wife Swap Doley, their three children as well as his nephew on the fateful night of December 12, 2009.
