Jourlist Mithu Choudhury remembered

Guwahati, May 25: The member-jourlists of Guwahati Press Club on Thursday remembered soft-spoken jourlist Mithu Choudhury, who died last week after suffering from various ailments, a press release said.  Choudhury, 53, lately used to contribute to various news portals and his area of focus was insurgency in Northeast.

The speakers of the memorial meeting described Choudhury as an honest and dedicated jourlist.

They also appreciated Choudhury’s commitment to the medium for which he had to sacrifices a lot. Till his untimely death, Choudhury maintained his identity as a working jourlist based in the city.

The participants also observed one-minute silence to pay respect to the departed soul. They also offered fincial assistances to his family. The meeting was addressed by senior jourlists Rupam Barua, Ranen Kumar Goswami, va Thakuria, DN Singh and other jourlists.
