Jugdol murder case: CID to record statements

GUWAHATI, Dec 13: State CID is going to hold a camp at Sopur at PWD’s inspection bungalow from December 15-18, 2017 to record public statement on gruesome Jugdol murder case of December 12, 2009. The camp is to the led by the investigation officer under the supervision of DIG CID Rauk Ali Hazarika.

Hazarika said that if any persons or organizations want to get their statements recorded they can contact 9401515607. If any of the persons cannot go physically to the camp, investigators are ready to reach them to record their statements.

Meanwhile, after eight years on December 6 this year CID sleuths arrested police officials Prab Deka (then OC, Sopur Police Station) and Abdul Matlib Chowdhury (then Investigation Officer) with reference to case number 18/2012 under Section 120/436/201 IPC.  Six persons of a single family — Harakanta Doley, his wife Swap Doley, their three children and his nephew — were beheaded, on that fateful night.
