Kakali Choudhury Barua: A tribute

Born on May 5, 1964 into Late Jogendra Chandra Choudhury and Hiranmayee Choudhury (Makhani) of AT Road near Police Reserve in Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh Late Kakali Choudhury Barua was a teacher with proficiency in Bihu dance, Biyaam, jikir and Borgeet.

Her mother Smt Hiranmayee Choudhury (Makhani) is the eldest daughter of Late Ramdutta Medhi,retired deputy secretary of the government of Assam, Shillong. She was married to Ranjan Barua, acting advocate of the Gauhati  High Court. She completed her primary and secondary education in Mangaldai and graduated from Dr B Baruah College. She was working as an assistant teacher of Shymbhumi ME School,VlP, Barjhar till her death. She was very punctual, soft spoken, cooperative and loved by all students and teachers as well. She was very much popular, kind hearted among her friends, colleagues and relatives. She was very much cordial and emotiol regarding her two elder brothers, with her mother, two children of her elder brother Sagar and Ishani. She breathed her last in Neurosurgery lCU of the GMCH at 2-25 pm on July 17, 2016 due to viral encephalitis. She leaves all of us teary-eyed and in deep sadness. We pray Almighty to keep her soul in eterl peace.
