Kalaguru recalled

GUWAHATI, July 11: The tun Diganta Mahila Samiti feels that Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha can be remembered anytime, and going by this logic the Samiti remembered Kalaguru on July 10, a month after his date of death anniversary.
When asked for comment on the matter, Samiti president Banda Bora said that the Kalaguru can be remembered anytime of the year rather than observing on June 20.
A drawing competition for children was held in two sections on the premises of Panigaon Prathamik Vidyalaya in the city. Over 100 students of various schools took part in the competition. A trophy and a citation were also presented to the child with the best drawing. The children and the organizers also took part in a tree plantation drive on the occasion.
