Kalakshatra body has a member each from Barak Valley, Tea Tribe

GUWAHATI, February 4: For the first time since its inception, the general council of Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra included a member each from Barak Valley and the Tea Tribe community of the state. In its notification issued by the deputy secretary of cultural affairs, the me of a member from Barak Valley, Subrata Paul, and that of a member from the Tea Tribe and Adivasi community, Ganesh Kurmi, have been mentioned. The notification also has the me of Huru Prasad Mahanta from Jakhalabonda as a member of the council.
