AZARA, June 9: West Guwahati MLA Ramendra rayan Kalita today laid the foundation stones a number of roads in Kamrup district.
The roads are Joypur-Garopara along the Assam-Meghalaya border with an estimated cost of Rs 98.29 lakh, Borihat-Heramodo-Bikrampur Road with an estimated cost of Rs 103.39 lakh, Borheramodoi-Bikrampur Road with a cost of Rs 103.39 lakh, Bulla-Tantipara Road costing Rs 15 lakh and Pasoniyopara Masjid Road with a cost of Rs 30 lakh.
Speaking at the function of foundation laying of Joypur-Garopara Road, Kalita said: “I’m going to develop all rural roads in my constituency, including the ones along the Meghalaya border. Improved connectivity can boost rural economy.”
