GUWAHATI, March 8: Kalpavriksh, an Institute of performing arts, celebrated Intertiol Women’s Day and recognized achievements by conferring awards to four inspiring persolities from different fields.

Speaking on the occasion, Sangeeta Ghosh ,Director of Kalpavriksh, said, “It’s my privilege to recognize and  felicitate the four inspiring women achievers who have made exemplary contribution in their fields and have risen amidst all challenges and have curved a niche for themselves. This year we’re giving the award in four different categories – Performing Arts, Media and Jourlism, Education and Selfless Service. We’ve selected my Revered Guru Late Padmashree Pushpa Bhuyan (A legend in Indian classical dance) and founder of Pushpanjali Cultural Academy in the field of Performing Arts, Indirani RaiMedhi (senior Jourlist, writer, coloumnist) will be awarded in the category of Media & Jourlism. In the field of Education, we have selected Mitra Som Saha, Principal, St. Vivekanda English Academy (Ex lecturer of Physics, St. Anne’s College, Mumbai). Rosie Kalita, Additiol DCP (Additiol Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch Guwahati Police Commissionerate) will be honoured in the category of selfless service.”
