Kamakhya Dolloi election on Nov 27

GUWAHATI, Nov 15: Kamrup(M) ADC Pulak Mahanta, in his capacity as the returning officer for the election of Dollois for Kamakhya Devalaya, has announced the schedule for the election. The election will be held on November 27, 2016 from 8 am to 3 pm at the auditorium of the temple.   

Kamrup(M) M Angamuthu appointed ADC Mahanta as the returning officer for the election. The counting of votes will start from 4 pm on November 27 itself.

Returning officer Mahanta and assistant returning officer Lakhindan Saharia will receive nomition papers for the election of Dollois from November 15 to 22, 2016 between 11 am and 3 pm at room No. 5 in the office of the Kamrup(M) Deputy Commissioner. The nomitions will be scrutinized from 11 am to 3 pm on November 23, and the list of candidates will be published at 5 pm on that day. The fil list of candidates will be published at 5 pm on November 24 after the expiry of the period of withdrawal of nomition papers between 11 am and 3 pm on that day.

Only people who figure in the electoral college comprising only Bordeori Samaj members can contest and vote in the election of Dollois of the Devalaya.
