Kathkatia to inquiry into Raja Ali death case

GUWAHATI, June 5: The Kamrup (M) District Magistrate has entrusted Kamrup (M) Additiol District Magistrate Prasanta Protim Kathkatia to conduct an inquiry into the complaint regarding the death of one Raja Ali (14). The teeger was arrested on February 6, 2017 by Bharalumukh police on suspicion of committing theft and was allegedly beaten at the time of arrest in public, and later he was sent to a children observation home where his condition started to deteriorate. He was shifted to Guwahati Medical College Hospital on February 9, 2017 where he succumbed to his injuries on February 10, 2017, a press release said.
