GUWAHATI, April 11: Khalsa Blood Donors, a group launched on March 23 this year by the Sikhs in Guwahati to promote voluntary blood dotions in the state, has officially started blood dotions. Of the 62 volunteers registered so far in two weeks, Jaswinder Singh (41) and his 18-year-old son Gurminder Singh became the first donors from the group to dote blood to two patients. Capt PP Singh, Chief Coorditor of Khalsa Blood Donors, said that though they had decided to start dotions from Baisakhi, but this morning getting two requests for blood dotion made them change their plans and felt any day that helps save a life is auspicious day. The request was sent in their specially created Whatsapp group and immediately Jaswinder Singh volunteered to dote the blood along with his son.
