Khaplang Kai no more

GUWAHATI, Oct 16: Khaplang Kai, a me fondly given to onscreen actor Rahul Das, passed away at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Sunday night. He was 59.

Down with high blood pressure since Wednesday last, Khaplang Kai was admitted to a private nursing home in Guwahati on Thursday. On Sunday he was taken to the GMCH where he breathed his last. 

Khaplang Kai had been seen an onscreen hero since 1991 when he was seen along with parody singer, script writer and director, all rolled into one, Bulbul Hussain. Mama Bhagin, Borolla, Borolla Top Ten and Hallow Guwahati are some of the video films he had active role. He was born at Mangaldai.
