KK Handique tiol Award for Prof. Miri

GUWAHATI, Dec 3: Prof. Mril Miri has been med for the Krish Kanta Handique tiol Award, 2016. The award will be conferred on Prof. Miri at a function to be held on December 11, 2016, the foundation day of KKHOSU, at Pragjyoti ITA Centre for Performing Arts at Machkhowa in the city. The award carries Rs 5 lakh cash, a citation and a memento. The university has been presenting KK Handique tiol Award and two-year KKHSOU tiol Fellowship since 2015. Annual music competitions – inter-study centre music competition – will also be organized in connection with the foundation day of the Open University. This year, there will be only Rabha Sangeet competition at the auditorium of District Library, Guwahati on December 4, 2016.
