Koch expo concludes

GUWAHATI, Feb 10: On the occasion of the 507th birth anniversary of Mahabir Chilarai various materials used in the Koch Kingdom like coins, orments, maps, mandirs and the like were on display at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra here. The exhibition organized by Consortium of Koch Royal Families (CONKORF) from yesterday concluded today. Also on display were household materials being used by the Koch Rajbongshis.

Koch Royal family members representing the Koch community at various places like Bangladesh, Darrang, Khaspur in Cachar, Bijni, Beltola etc., were honoured on the occasion that was attended as the chief guest by minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Sarma said that a project on Chilarai was taken up in this year’s annual Budget.
