Kristi stands for ONE VOICE, women against violence

GUWAHATI, Aug 13: Intertiolly acclaimed shuttler, social worker, entrepreneur and winner of Mrs. India Homemakers, 2017 Kristi Das in for another feather to her cap. Now she is set to jazz up the glamour world by participating in the forthcoming event Mrs. Universe, 2018 slated from August 26 to September 3, 2017 at Durban, South Africa.

The all-rounder woman achieved her dreams in her life doing everything possible even after her marriage, that too with a baby boy.

Being, a professiol badminton player, the idea of stepping into the glamour world did not look feasible a till few years back. However, with the time, changes the situation and her outlook towards life. 

Kristi said that apart from badminton and entrepreneur she is also passiote biker. “Philanthropy and social activism is in my D. As I was born in a family where I have always seen my parents and forefathers doing immense work for the development of society and have been taught the same.  ‘One Voice’ is the cause which we all need to support and stand against violence and abuse against women and children in this society. This is the society where all women equally do everything with men if we see in any field – airlines to Indian army to business women to social activism. Everywhere there are women. Even housewives are also in a job, and I believe this is most the hardest job to do in this world,” said Kristi Das.

Kristi is the women who achieved ‘The women Achievers Award 2017, instituted by Times of India,      the Youth Icon Award 2017 by All Assam Scheduled Caste Students’ Union, the Youth Entrepreneur of the Year by the Entrepreneurs Conclave 2016-17 and a few others in the list. She is also the first Indian Brand Ambassador of Repechage (Seaweed-based products from the USA since 1980) and Maxelerator Ltd (A software company from the UK) and a few others.

Kristi also shared, “Being a woman I will always support women in society and will always do my level best for my state. In the coming event I will also showcase our traditiol dresses. I am also engaged with more than 5 NGOs of women empowerment, disabled people and a few others.”
