Last date for Haj application extended

GUWAHATI, Jan 24: The Central Haj Committee has extended the last date of application for Haj pilgrimage from the Northeast up to February 6, 2017. The earlier last date expired today. North East Haj Committee chairman Nekibur Zaman said: “Clearing passports delayed the process, leading to failure to submit applications within the stipulated time. So I took up the matter with the Central Haj Committee and the Government of India to extend the date for the Northeast. They agreed to the proposal.”
