LDMA demands probe into 'corruption'

GUWAHATI, Oct 6: The 11-party Left Democratic Manch, Assam (LDMA) has alleged that the State government has been trying to hush up the commionraj being run by a few ministers in the State and demanded a high-level inquiry into the allegation. The Manch has also demanded removal of the target ministers till the inquiry against them is over, a statement issued to the press on Friday said.

The Manch met on October 4, 2017 and had a detailed discussion on various issues, including the arrest of Akhil Gogoi under the NSA. The Forum said that the government at Dispur was out to murder democracy. On October 12 this year, Forum is going to take out a demonstration in Guwahati.

The Forum comprises the CPI, CPI(M), CPI(ML), Asom Sangrami Mancha, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Jata Dal (S), NCP, Samajwadi Party, Liberal Democratic Party, AIFB and the RCPI.
