Prasangik: Rastriya Bhava aru Jatiya Chetare released

GUWAHATI, Nov 17: Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal released a book – Prasangik: Rastriya Bhava aru Jatiya Chetare – at a function at the PWD Training & Convention Centre in Guwahati on Friday.

Published by Jagaran Sahitya Prakashan, the book, containing 31 articles, is penned by Shankar Das. The book highlights many contemporary issues of the tion with an aim to providing newer dimensions for thought to find out lasting solution for the same.

Speaking on the occasion, Sonowal lauded the effort of Shakr Das and emphasized producing literature that nurtures and strengthens unity and harmony amongst various communities living in the state.

“We need literature that strengthens harmony amongst different communities of the state and thwarts evil designs of divisive forces. In spite of having similarities in culture and tradition, there is a lingering divide amongst the people of Barak and Brahmaputra valleys and hills and plains. Writers and litterateurs should strive to produce literature that boost our cultural resemblances and positive traits”, Sonowal said.

Senior jourlist Dhirendra th Chakraborty also spoke in the book release function which was anchored by chairman of Jyoti Chitraban Pabitra Margherita.

Minister of State for Power, Revenue etc. Pallab Lochan Das, MLA Teros Gowala, Chief Minister’s Media and Legal Advisers Hrishikesh Goswami and Santanu Bharali, Shankar Das’s mother Niharika Das and host of other dignitaries were also present in the programme.
