Lottery system for transfer of GP secretaries

GUWAHATI June 20: Today transfer-posting of the 264 Gaon Panchayat Secretaries of five districts of the State –Kamrup (M), Kamrup, Darrang, Morigaon and lbari – is done through lottery system at the conference hall of Commissioner, Panchayat and Rural Development. As a maiden step this lottery process was held at the Conference Hall of Commissionerate of Panchayat and Rural Development, Assam in presence of MGVK Bhanu, Additiol Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam P & RD Department. All the five chief executive officers (CEOs) of the respective districts, Additiol Commissioner of Panchayat and Rural Development, including the respective officials of the Commissionerate were present in the process of lottery. The transfer orders of the secretaries will be uploaded on the departmental website rural.assam.gov.in. The process of lottery for other GP secretaries will also be carried out step by step in due course.
