Madhava Mathematics competition

GUWAHATI, Dec 12: The Madhava Mathematics Competition(MMC), 2017, med after the fourteenth century mathematician whose introduced concepts are now part of modern calculus, is organized annually by Department of Mathematics, S P College, Pune and Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education(TIFR), Mumbai under the aegis of tiol Board of Higher Mathematics. The event scheduled to be held on January 8, 2017 has been extended to Assam from this year to be coordited by Professor (Dr.) Bhaba Kumar Sarma, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati in association with Assam Academy of Mathematics. The examition centres of MMC, 2017 in Assam are Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Silchar  and Guwahati .

Nearly 150 students from different colleges of Assam have registered till now and registration form and other relevant information on the matter have already been sent to the colleges, a press release said.
