Mallika Mahanta Memorial Award given away

GUWAHATI, February 7: Diganta Talukdar, who stood first class first in MA in the Department of Anthropology, Gauhati University, in 2014, was conferred on the Mallika Mahanta Memorial Award by Homen Borgohain at a function at Tirthth Sarma Hall in the city today. The award was instituted by Anup Mahanta in the me of his departed wife Mallika Mahanta. The award is given to the students who get first class first in MA in the Department of Anthropology in Gauhati University every year. The award carries a memento, a citation and Rs 15,000.
