GUWAHATI, July 23: The Swadhin ri Shakti has smelt a rat on spending for organizing the mami Brahmaputra Festival.
The organization is equipped with information obtained through the RTI. “An RTI report showed that around Rs 8.50 crore has been spent in organizing the event. The report shows that Rs 90 lakh was sanctioned for advertisements in the media. From sources we found that the amount has not been received by the respective media houses,” Swadhin ri Shakti chairperson Alpa Sarma said.
“We demand security for women in society against all atrocities meted out to them,” Sarma added.
