Man arrested for alleged bribery attempt

GUWAHATI, Feb 21: Bhangagarh police today arrested one Mridu Pawan Khound, hailing from Dakshingaon in the Kahilipara area in the city, on the charge making an attempt to bribe GMDA CEO Barli Deka. According to reports, Khound asked the CEO as to how he could get the permission of his building instantly. When the incident allegedly moved towards bribing, the CEO called the security personnel and handed him over to the police. A case has been registered in Bhagagarh police station in this connection.
