Man collapses as mercury soars

GUWAHATI, July 18: Monihor Singh (55) died on the spot when he was getting down from a bus at Lankeshwar on Tuesday. Hailing from Dimapur, he reportedly came to Guwahati for medical treatment. Singh was accompanied by Dolen Singh. Police sources doubted that Monihor Singh collapsed due to the soaring heat. The Metrology Department said that temperature of Guwahati rose to 38.5 degrees on Tuesday.
