GUWAHATI, May 9: To turn his suffering into a great deal of wisdom, a man from Delhi is going a long way on foot to make people across the nation aware on the importance of blood donation. Kiran Verma, who lost his mother at the age of seven, started his mission on January 26 from Jammu and Kashmir and has arrived in Guwahati on Tuesday. Till Guwahati, Kiran has walked more than 12,000 km and he has been aiming to cover 15,000 km. “In each km, I am getting to share at least ten persons on the importance of blood donation. I’m overwhelmed with the love, care, cooperation and enthusiasm shown by the people to me in various places,” said Verma. From Guwahati, Verma will be heading towards other northeastern states. He will also reach the neighboring Bhutan and Nepal to spread the importance of the mission.
