GUWAHATI, March 18: The Sadou Asom Jatiya Swahid Parial Samanyrakhi Parishad (SAJSPSP) has demanded a clear-cut job assurance from the political parties in the event of forming government in the State.  Talking to newsmen in Guwahati Press Club today, SAJSPSP general secretary Manik Chandra Deb th said: “Around 855 martyrs sacrificed their lives in the six-year-long Assam Agitation. A political party was also formed after that agitation which ruled the state for two terms. The party did try to give employment opportunities to next of kin of the martyrs. According to Assam Accord implementation Minister Bhumidhar Barman, 890 martyrs’ families are left to be provided employment opportunities as yet. With the AGP going for an alliance with the BJP, we ask the regiol party whether it will be able to give us employment avenues with the help of the BJP in the event of the allies forming the government at Dispur. We also demand a clear assurance from the Congress, BJP and other political parties to provide employment to the 890 martyr families in the event of forming government in the state by them.”
