MBRS observes foundation day

GUWAHATI, Feb 20: Miles Bronson Residential School observed the Founder’s Day on February 19. The school was started in 1987. State Additiol Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar Bora graced the occasion as the chief guest. The highlights of the programme were ceremonial paying of floral tributes to the bust of Dr. Miles Bronson by the chief guest, followed by the rituals of laying the foundation stone for the MBRS MBRS Stadium, besides a moment for introspection of the school’s performance, a press release said. The day was dedicated to those students and their parents whose excellent performance in the CBSE is highly recognized and gratified. They were all felicitated with citations, phulam gamosa and mementos. MBRS founder and principal Dr. Nripen Kumar Dutta highlighted the vision and mission of the school and its achievements. He also made the announcement of the an Indian Public School Conference (IPSC) Inter-School Swimming Competition to be hosted at MBRS in July 2016 for the boys and in October 2016 for the girls. The chief guest was highly impressed by the constant progress of the institute and acknowledged the placements of the alumni in the elite universities of the country. He had seen the school grow step by step and admits the changes are absolutely unbelievable and unimagible and appreciated its contribution to the society. He said: “Every champion was once a contender who refused to give up. Hence all should pick up the skills and the knowledge, for, a winner never quits, a quitter never wins”.  ndini Dutta, secretary, Miles Bronson Education Society applauded the toppers of the batch of 2015.
