GUWAHATI, Dec 5: Baghxe has demanded Dispur of ming the new bridge under construction over the Brahmaputra parallel to the Saraighat bridge after Lachit Barphukan and Bagh Hazarika. Baghxe submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Chief Minister today in this regard through Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner.

Baghxe president Azad Ali said that the memorandum mentioned valour of Lachit Barphukan and Bagh Hazarika against the Mughal in 1671 while protecting Assam from the invaders was no less importance than the contribution made by Sankardeva and Azan Fakir, Sui-ka-phaa, Veer Chalarai, and others.
