Meet on home loan scheme held

GUWAHATI, May 5: To expedite the process of ‘APON GHAR’ home loan to State Government employees an important meeting was held today at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (Metro). Bank official and nodal officer for the scheme Jayanta Bardhan comprehensively discussed the terms and conditions of the home loan scheme. Development Commissioner B Sharma asked the heads of various departments of the district to convene meetings in their respective offices to make their subordites aware of the scheme. Permanent employees of the State Government with at least five-year service will be illegible for the scheme up to Rs 15 lakh for his service tenure. The age limit is minimum 21 years and maximum 60 years. For the scheme EMI will be 55 per cent for annual income up to Rs. 5 lakh, 65 per cent for annual income up to Rs. 5-8 lakh, 70 per cent for Rs 8-10 lakh, 75 per cent for Rs 10 lakh. EMI will be fixed on the basis of SBI offered rate of 8.50% for women and 8.55% for others. EMI should be calculated at interest rate after reducing interest subvention of 3.50%.
