Meeting discusses implementation of Lakhshya programme

Dibrugarh, April 13: The district administration in association with the tiol Madhyamik Shiksha Abhijan ( NMSA) has taken up a career counseling programme med Lakhshya for helping the students of the district with their career related decisions. The programme is aimed towards 28,511 students from Class IX to Class X of 145 government and provincialized high schools and higher secondary schools of the district. A meeting in this regard was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri , at the conference hall of DC Office on Thursday. During the meeting, talks were held on how the Lakhshya programme would be implemented in the entire district. Addressing the discussion, DC Laya Madduri laid stress on how the local resource persons should come forward to extend their help and advice on career- related issues to the students of Class IX and Class X of the district. The aforesaid meeting was attended by ADC Ankur Bhorali ; resource person of RMSA and Headmaster of Aauniaati High School, Majuli, Prashanta Dhulakakhoria ; a few Professors from Dibrugarh University ; lecturers from various colleges of the district and retired Principals and Headmasters.
