Mili gets Kamala Miri Award

GUWAHATI, April: The All India Tribal Students’ Association, Assam (AITSAA) has conferred the martyr Kamala Miri Award’ 2018 on renowned social worker Punaram Mili in Guwahati recently. The ceremony was attended by Anusuya Uikey, vice chairman of National Commission for Schedule Tribes. Punaram Mili, the recipient of the award was known for his endeavours and unique contributions to the deprived and neglected society. Meanwhile, attending the event, Uikey expressed concern on the negligence faced by the tribal community in Assam and assured the organizers of raising the issue with the higher authority. Befitting the occasion, a book on ‘Martyr Kamala Miri’ was released.  
On this occasion, AITSAA advisor Arindom Prince Panging and president Baburabha Hakasam were also present, among others.
