Minister Atul Bora’s father passes away

Guwahati/Golaghat, Feb 13: State Agriculture Minister and MLA of Bokakhat LAC, Atul Bora’s father Mehuram Bora passed away in the wee hours of Monday at a private hospital in Guwahati. Mehuram Bora (85) was a retired employee of the State Transport Department and on Sunday he had some cardiac problem. Soon he was rushed to Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital in Golaghat. But seeing his serious condition, the doctors referred him to Guwahati where he was admitted at a nursing home. But later he died. Mehuram Bora’s demise has cast a pall of gloom in his tive place in Bamborahi village in Golaghat. His body will be brought to the village where the last rites will be performed. Meanwhile, Asom Ga Parishad (AGP) along with several other political and non-political organizations and individuals have mourned his demise. AGP condoled the demise of the ideal farmer. AGP working president and minister Keshab Mahanta, former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, and other top leaders of the party and its sister concerns conveyed their sympathy to the bereaved family members.
