Minority panel holds meeting

GUWAHATI, August 20: The Assam State Commission for Minorities (ASCM) met recently with its chairperson Abdul Muhib Mazumdar in the chair, and resolved to review, evaluate and monitor all schemes undertaken by different agencies of the State Government. Commission members Allen Brooks and Dr. Mukti Deb Choudhury were also present at the meeting. The meeting also resolved to hold a tiol semir-cum-consultation on the status of minorities, their progress and challenges. It also decided to tentatively visit all district headquarters to interact with different minority communities to learn about their problems and challenges.
