Modern Assamese song CD by scientist

GUWAHATI, Nov 27: Sonpahi – a CD of eight modern Assamese songs, all written and sung by a scientist Dr. Himangshu Barman – was released in the city recently. A scientist giving lyrics of songs, setting them to music and singing them by himself certainly makes him an all-in-one genius.

On an earlier occasion, an audio album – Madhusmita – comprising lyrics of Dr. Barman sung by popular singers like Jitul Sonowal, Mousumi Saharia, Sangita Kakoti, Lokth Goswami and Dilip Ferndaze had been released.
