Monk looted in train

GUWAHATI, July 22: In yet another incident of on board loot, a monk was looted in the Kamrup Express on Tuesday, while he was travelling from Howrah to Tinsukia. Ven Prajsiri also known as Horu Bhante among his followers was travelling from Howrah to Tinsukia in the Kamrup Express when miscreants looted him of all his belongings. It has been learnt that the miscreants diverted his attention and ran away with his belongings within seconds. The incident happened at Rangiya. It has been also alleged that the Railway police in Rangiya refused to lodge a complaint in this regard, which forced the monk to register his complaint at the GRPS in Paltanbazar, Guwahati. The bag contains the monk's passport, PAN card, ATM, driving license, Monk ID card, a power bank, a mobile phone, Indian Currency of Rs 300, US Dollar 440, Thai Bhat of 9400 and relics.
