GUWAHATI, June 24: The City Police arrested two more accused yesterday in the Simon House murder case in the city. With this arrest, so far six persons have been bbed in the case. Engineer and businessman Kak Choudhury had to meet a mysterious death inside a room in his own residence – Simon House – at Paltan Bazar in the city on June 5 this year.
The two, who were arrested yesterday from Paltan Bazar, have been identified as Kismat Ali hailing from Hajo and Chandra Bora hailing from Amingaon.
According to police sources, the accused admitted their involvement in the murder. Acting on the confessiol statement of the accused, the hammer that had been used to kill Choudhury was found from a drain near Simon House. The hammer weighs 2.50 kg. However, the police are yet to get any clues regarding the diamond ring and the persol pistol of Choudhury. The accused have been passing the buck on one another now. The accused admitted that they had thrown some other materials of Simon House, including CCTVs, in the Bharalu and Bashishtha rivers. The police are yet to recover them.
