Motivate entrepreneurs to boost growth, GMs told

GUWAHATI, April 12: Commissioner of Industries and Commerce Dr KK Dwivedi conducted a review meeting of all the general magers (GM)s at Udyog Bhawan, Bamunimaidam, Guwahati today. Dr Dwivedi called upon the GMs to think out of the box and set thrust on entrepreneurship and resource-metrics in their respective districts to boost industrial growth. “This will create a chain of infrastructure development, employment generation and economic development which will benefit the society as a whole,” he said.

The Commissioner also called upon the magers to support handholding, resolve land issues and coordite with banks to motivate the entrepreneurs. He asked them to be a guiding force to lead and transform their ideas into successful industrial models and promote a conducive and innovative platform in their workplaces.  Dr Dwivedi further stated that the magers must alyse the viability of the potential sectors from the production stage to processing, packaging and marketing. He said that the government is keen on industrial growth of the 6th Scheduled Areas and hence formed a committee to look into their specific issues and prepare a roadmap for industrialization in these areas.  

Additiol Directors, Majula Saikia Bhuyan, Prafulla Kumar Saikia and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.
