Mrigen Sarania new city Mayor

GUWAHATI, June 7: The BJP today formed the GMC today with Mrigen Sarania as the Mayor and Bijuli Kalita Medhi as the Deputy Mayor.

GDD Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said: “For the first time Guwahati has got a Mayor who is from the BJP. This is a golden moment for the party and the people of the city. I thank all councillors, including those from the Congress and the AGP, that the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor were chosen unopposed.”
