Mrityunjay Diwas observed

GUWAHATI, Oct 14: The Asom Socio-Cultural Association (ASCA) organized the 91st birth anniversary of litterateur late Birandra Kumar Bhattacharya as 'Mrityunjay Diwas' at Guwahati Press Club today. ASCA president Kailash Sarma said in the programme: "It is pathetic that after 18 years of the death of the litterateur, no step has been taken in the memory of him. We, therefore, request the people of the state to observe this day as Mrityunjay Diwas from this year. With the cooperation of Dr Birandra Kumar Bhattacharya Nyas and garik Suraksha Samiti, we have decided to remember him on this day every year." The famous litterateur Kirti Kamal Bhuyan and wife of late Bhattacharya Binita Bhattacharya also attended the programme and gave their valuable comments.
