Mukhi asks ACS probationers to maintain ‘incorruptibility’

GUWAHATI, Nov 7: Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi urged the ACS and Allied Services probationers to maintain impartiality and incorruptibility of administration as these two elements are the cornerstones to eble all sections of people, including the poorest of the poor, to enjoy the fruits of governce.

Addressing the 124 probationers of ACS & Allied Services 2017, who are undergoing a two-week Joint Induction Training Course at Assam Administrative Staff College here on Tuesday, said that a civil servant must be politically neutral and at the same time must keep oneself above all commul wrangles. “To depart from the path of righteousness amounts to demean public service and lower its dignity,” the Governor added.

The Governor also congratulated all the inductee officers on being selected in higher government services. Especially he congratulated the 60 Assam Land Revenue Service officers as they happen to belong to the first batch of the newly created Assam Land Revenue Service.

The Governor also said that the state is besieged with several problems like unemployment as both the Central and State Governments have been taking several steps to redress the problem. Prof Mukhi asked them to lend their best possible efforts to effectively implement the schemes to solve unemployment problem by maintaining highest order of transparency and sincerity.

The function was also attended by Commissioner and Secretary of Personnel Department KK Dwivedi, Director in-charge of Assam Administrative Staff College Swap Dutta, along with a host of other dignitaries.
