Murder accused arrested

GUWAHATI, March 20:  Fatasil Ambari police arrested an accused in the killing of 30-year-old Sahida Begum and her five-year-old daughter Mili Muskan, Jakaria alias Raju Ahmed (35) hailing from Barpeta,  in a silent operation on Tuesday. The police arrested Zakaria when he was in Guwahati to seek bail. According to the police, on the night of February 26, 2018 Zakaria came to the house of Sahida Begum at 9.30 pm. He, according to the police, strangulated Sahida and her daughter at that night and decamped at around 4 in the next morning.
