My vote campaign underway

GUWAHATI, March 30 : ‘The My Vote Campaign’ is going on in full swing in Kamrup district to create awareness among the people on ethical voting and to encourage citizens to come out for using their rights of franchise on the day of poll on April 11.

As a part of this campaign, every day in all corners of the district a number of initiatives is going on like road show by voters awareness van and polling station on wheel; awareness meeting at market and public places; Gaon Sabha meeting; house-to-house and roadside EVM awareness camp, street play in public places; bike and cycle rally, Selfi campaign at the colleges etc. Besides, to create a congenial atmosphere for free, fair, peaceful and transparent election process and to increase voters turnout, the administration is also distributing appeal of the DEO and; organizing EVM awareness camp; using print and electronic media,  pasting stickers on voting awareness in all vehicles; playing the appeals of ICON of Election and DEO through PA and FLS system; house-to-house campaign in low PS areas and imparted training of officials and arrangement of special assistance to differently-abled and elderly persons in polling stations.
